Sony Xperia Z6 Lite reportedly to come soon to the market

Now there are speculations that the device may come in another variant dubbed the Xperia Z6 Lite. The metal bits are expected to deliver a fresh new look to the Xperia Z6 series.

Sony's Xperia Z5 lineup saw a delayed launch in the U.S. This series can only be purchased as global variants without any warranty from e-retailers like Amazon and eBay. Going by the current naming tradition, we would have the Xperia Z6, Xperia Z6 Compact, Xperia Z6 Plus and the Xperia Z6 Ultra.

As always, readers are advised to take the reported Z6 Lite-related information with the proverbial pinch of salt as Sony has not confirmed any details so far.

The good news for people looking to get their hands on the new smartphone is that more official news about the Xperia Z6 should be known within the first quarter of 2016. The new Sony Xperia Z6 Lite seems to rival other mid-range devices in the market with an affordable price range estimated around $385, which roughly translates to Rs. 25,500.

Sony Xperia Z6 Lite- Specs and Price

The rumored Sony Xperia Z6 Lite might sport a 5-inch display filling the gap between the Xperia Z6 Compact and the Sony Xperia Z6, says Mobile Dad a Chinese website. It also noted that it will carry a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor.

However, other rumors about the Xperia Z6 lineup indicate that Sony only has plans to release four devices and made no mention of the Xperia Z6 Lite and when it would be released. However, earlier this month, a leaked roadmap of T-Mobile Poland listed four models, eliminating the Xperia Z6 Mini, reports NDTV Gadgets. While the first flagship device is said to launch in June, the second is expected to arrive in October.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that two out of the four smartphones will be flagship devices and will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. But apparently, there might be an addition to that number, as another rumor floating around is that there will also be a 5-inch Xperia Z6 Lite that will make its entry by next year.
