Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts Playoff Race Easy to Figure Out

Absolutely. But with more time, that play may have a different end result.

The Las Vegas line for this game is now sitting at -1 in favor of the Dolphins with a 44 point over/under.

Miami's final offensive play - a sack on fourth-and-goal at the 5-yard line - illustrates the trauma Tannehill has endured not just this season, but his entire career courtesy of this much-maligned offensive line. Tannehill was sacked on the final play of Miami's drive by Robert Mathis, in what Tannehill labeled as "cadence issues" between him and his offensive lineman Jamil Douglas. Tannehill told reporters after the game, "I feel for him".

"I still think that when you get where we're at, I think we have enough talent, I think that we're making too many mistakes, I think that's what it is", Campbell added, who did a solid job in his decision making, opting to kick field goals in key fourth-down situations, regardless of the crowd's reaction.

The Dolphins are converting just 29.3 percent of the team's third-down attempts, which creates an almost six minute time of possession difference this season and applies pressure on the defense.

The irony of this game was that four years ago both Indianapolis and Miami were among the worst in the league.

This week the 6-8 Indianapolis Colts travel to the Miami Dolphins, who are 5-9 on the season. They have turned that team around and both sides of the ball are doing well. Colts guard Hugh Thornton left the game in the first half with an ankle injury....

Four plays later, when a botched snap turned all that crackling fourth-quarter momentum into mush, the thunder of all those voices turned off like a spigot and a murderous silence took its place, the kind that follows playoff losses. During the lone trip in the first quarter when the Dolphins made it to the red zone, Indianapolis brought pressure, and it worked.

If the Colts and Texans are tied in strength of schedule, it goes to best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.

The Colts (7-8) are still alive in their bid to win the AFC South division... but barely. That's true whether the Colts have a shot at a playoff berth or not. A top-5 draft pick remains a possibility for a team that entered the year with playoff aspirations.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said he doesn't have an update on quarterback Andrew Luck, who has missed the past six games with a kidney/abdomen injury. Already the Dolphins single-season receptions leader, Landry reached a milestone when he went over 100 receptions for the season.

Whether it was in the air or on the ground, on defense or on offense, the former talent killed the Miami Dolphins all day long.
