It is a run which has seen them crash out of the Champions League at the group stage and drop out of the Premier League top four.

Mourinho was recently sacked by Chelsea and he has been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Louis van Gaal under huge pressure at Old Trafford.

He suffered injury in September whilst on global duty and has missed 8 games for Madrid, but remains a key member of Rafa Benitez's squad.

So, who are the managers rumoured to take over the hot-seat at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium?

The Daily Mail, via Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, claims Inter Milan and Juventus are eyeing the out of form midfielder, who has been booed by fans following the Jose Mourinho’s sacking. Alan Pardew. This is not a typo folks - we are just reporting the rumours.

A tricky season went from bad to worse for the club in the last couple of days when their final appeal against their expulsion from the Copa del Rey was rejected, later releasing a statement saying that the club "respects, but does not agree with the court's ruling and as such announces its decision to pursue a judicial-administrative course of action, along with other possible legal options, which are now being studied".
